Accuracy of Information
Government agencies can revise office hours, addresses, telephone numbers, fees, portals, and procedures without advance notice. Records also change as courts file new minutes and agencies process updates. Although the material is reviewed for usefulness, no promise is made that every detail remains complete or current. Confirm requirements with the relevant Orleans Parish or Louisiana office before traveling, ordering a copy, or paying a fee.
An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
A booking or arrest does not establish guilt. A prosecutor may decline, amend, divert, or dismiss charges, and a court may acquit a defendant. A later expungement or correction can also make an old copy misleading.
